WHAT DOES A REPAIR INCLUDE?

1. COMPLETE REPAIR SERVICE

Repair prices include parts and labor to repair all the functional problems your equipment is exhibiting
... not just the one you send it in for. And your satisfaction is guaranteed with a one year warranty* that covers not only the repair we performed, but any failure that arises for one year after our service.*
( Excludes abuse, misuse, liquid spills, power surges, dirty environment, etc. Answering machines and cordless phones have a 90 day warranty which covers  our workmanship and parts only )

Note: If your equipment has suffered a lightning strike or power surge, it's possible that surcharges may apply due to above average parts / labor required. However, we will not proceed without getting your approval, and there is no charge if you decide to not have us repair your unit.

2. COSMETIC REFURBISHING

Repair prices also include cosmetically reconditioning your  phones to as like new as possible. We take the phone apart and meticulously clean every piece inside and out, including the tonepad/keypad and the handset, virtually sanitizing the entire unit. Then, we thoroughly buff and polish the entire unit, resulting in a clean, gleaming, fully reconditioned telephone. Finally, we package the phone in a new box, along with new paper and new cords.

RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES

We ship UPS ground. For repairs, we charge a flat $10.00 for the first item (phone, card, KSU, module, etc.), $2.00 each for 2nd through 5th items, and $1.00 each for 6th item and beyond, plus a nominal fee for insurance. [Exception: Alaska and Hawaii are charged actual 2nd day air shipping.] Shipping on sales is charged at standard shipping & handling rates plus insurance. We buy insurance for your phone equipment on your behalf. We will be glad to assist you file a claim with UPS for equipment damaged in transit, but ultimately all claims must be worked out between you and UPS. If you are claiming shipping damage, you MUST save the container for UPS to inspect.

Sorry, no CODs. Payment by check incurs $20.00 surcharge except for credit accounts and deposits for answering machines and cordless phones. Late payment fees apply if we do not receive valid credit card number or check within 5 days of our notifying you that your order is ready to ship. Minimum $10.00 per item, plus shipping, for repair orders cancelled after we've received and inducted.

 

 

 

 

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Return requests must be submitted by email only and must be authorized by us in writing. We do not accept returns after 14 days from sales order date. However, this is not a guarantee that we will accept a return.  Unopened returns, when authorized, carry a minimum restock fee of $25 or 20%, whichever is greater, and are for credit use against future equipment purchases only. Opened items, when authorized, incur a minimum restock fee of $25.00 or 40%*, whichever is greater, and are for credit use against future equipment purchases only. We may waive the restock fee if you wish to trade up. However, we may require a higher restock fee or not authorize a return depending on the type of equipment, our inventory needs,  whether it was special ordered, and how long it has been used. Unauthorized returns (including unauthorized cancellations and unauthorized refused deliveries) incur a $25.00 handling fee in addition to the above charges and in fact may not be accepted. We will also charge for any free or discounted shipping you may have enjoyed on the original shipment.

This applies to all reasons for return / refund requests including, but not limited to: ordered wrong item, item did not fix problem, item failed, found it somewhere else, changed mind. With respect to product failures (purchases and repairs), note that our warranty specifies that your exclusive remedy for failed equipment is for us to repair or replace,, at our option, any equipment or component parts that fail. If we are unable to repair or replace the defective unit, we will refund your money. However, if you do not give us an opportunity to repair or replace it, we may not authorize a return and refund, or we may charge a higher restock fee.

*Once equipment has been used --- regardless of how briefly --- we must inspect and test as if it were defective with a delayed and intermittent defect, particularly if it is an item that the customer may have used for troubleshooting. This diagnosis is a very time consuming process but it must be done in order to give us the confidence that we are selling a truly "A" grade unit to the next buyer.

 

ABANDONED EQUIPMENT

From time to time we encounter a customer who sends us equipment for repair and then decides he doesn't want it anymore... before paying us for the repair service we performed.  Please note: (1) We are not interested in keeping your equipment in lieu of payment and we aggressively pursue payment due us. (2) By sending us your equipment, you agree to pay for all costs associated with collections. (3) We consider an account in arrears if the repair bill is not paid within 10 days it is presented. (4) After 30 days we consider your equipment abandoned and we will begin liquidating it if possible. Proceeds will NOT go towards reducing your bill but rather will go only towards sales / marketing / storage / handling costs. In other words, you will receive no credit for your abandoned equipment and you will still owe us the original bill. If we still have your equipment at the time of settlement, there is handling fee of the greater of 25% of the repair bill or $25.00.
